Tuukka Rask will mind the pipes this afternoon against the New York Rangers. The rookie was called up on an emergency basis earlier in the month to cover for the injured Manny Fernandez.
Rask has not played in an NHL game this season. Last year, the Finnish Flash tallied four games with the big club, posting a 3.25 goals against average and a save percentage of .886.
Prior to his call-up, Tuukka started a majority of the games for the Providence Bruins in the AHL. He's gone 19-15-0 in 34 games with the Baby B's.
